Historic Park St & Jungle

The Jungle, known for its palatial homes on Boca Ciega Bay and its red brick Park Street, is one of St. Petersburg’s prettiest residential areas.

Lined with a mix of wild oaks draped with spanish moss and tropical palm trees, Jungle Prada is probably one of the most historic neighborhoods in Pinellas County…and one of the most coveted. The city is one of the earliest known settlements in Florida and was home to the 1528 landing of Panfil De Narvaez, a Spanish explorer who was on an expedition to expand colonial Spain into North America. There are currently several protected historic sites and parks in St. Petersburg in the Jungle Prada neighborhood that are maintained by the City of St. Petersburg. One of the most popular is Abercrombie Park, followed by Jungle Prada de Narvaez Waterfront Park, and of course the beautiful Walter Fuller Park, which offers game fields, tennis courts, shelters for rent and more!

Inland, the neighborhood is adjacent to the Davista Rev subdivision which many still consider part of the Historic Park Street and Jungle Prada neighborhoods. You can still find brick streets and shady oaks in this neighborhood, as well as darling restored bungalows and ranchers that have been lovingly cared for and appeal to many different price ranges.
